When most people hear the word tallow, they assume we're talking about beef. Fair enough. Most tallow skincare is made from beef tallow. But after working with deer tallow, we're convinced it's the fancy tallow.
So, what's different?
The first thing you'll notice is what you don't notice. The smell.
Deer tallow has very little aroma compared to many beef tallows. There's no need to wage war on it with heavy essential oils or fragrances. It simply starts from a much cleaner place.
It's also naturally whiter, firmer and less greasy. 'Oo-lala' I hear you say.
The result is a balm that feels rich and nourishing, but without the heaviness people often expect from tallow skincare.
